Concept art: the club's dance floor, a crowd and the bar glowing amber

The game

One club. One night. Something under the salt.

Nachtclub is a single-player club-management game about the night shift. You run the bar on the beat of a DJ set, fetch kegs from a cellar that goes further down than it should, and follow the sound down to the salt mine.

The jam build

A night, start to finish.

About eight to ten minutes, one continuous flow from the street to the salt mine and back to dawn. This is the playable slice we submitted to Deep Jam II.

  1. Concept art: the club's red brick front at night with a queue at the door
    01

    The queue

Rain on brick, a magenta sign, a doorman who nods. It's the third night in a row and your inner voice already knows the script: “Third night. Same rain. Same queue. My club.”

  2. Concept art: the club interior with the bar on the left and a crowd on the dance floor
    02

    The bar rush

Doors open and the floor fills. Orders float above heads. Work the stations, time the pour, serve before patience runs out. When the drop hits, everyone dances and you finally breathe.

  3. Concept art: a brick cellar with stacked kegs, a ladder and a warm lamp
    03

    The cellar

A keg dies and Jule sends you downstairs with a lantern. Behind you the hatch slams. Past the kegs, a locked iron door, and behind it your own music, slowed down.

  4. Concept art: a mine tunnel with rails, salt crystals and lamps
    04

    The salt mine

The tunnel goes further than the building should allow. The lamps you pass go out one by one. At the end, a ring of salt and something standing in it.

  5. Concept art: a salt cave with a ring of crystals and a tall shadow
    05

    Dawn

Whatever happened down there, the hatch opens. The club is empty: “There you are! We closed an hour ago. Long night?” “Longer than she knows.”

Images are AI-assisted concept art that guides the in-engine look. See both side by side.

The bar

Four stations, one pair of hands.

Every station is a tiny timing game, a bit like pulling a pint: hold, then let go in the right band. Orders appear above customers, and the colour of their patience tells you who is about to leave.

  • Station 1Medium

    Beer

Hold at the tap until the glass is full. Let go early and it's flat, late and it's foam.

  • Station 2Instant

    Shots

Straight from the shelf. The fastest order on the board, and the cheapest.

  • Station 3Quick

    Ice

Hold, then let go on the green. The first step of every cocktail.

  • Station 4Slow

    Cocktail

Ice first, then mix. The slowest order and the best price. Over-shake it and you pour it out.

Spill a drink and the floor remembers. Serve fast and the tips climb. And when the keg runs out, you carry a new one up from the cellar, or send it up on the service lift, because your hands are full and the ladder isn't.
